WEBINAR ON FINANCING CLIMATE RESILIENCE: FOCUS ON DFIs IN EMERGING MARKETS
KUALA LUMPUR: The Association of Development Financial Institutions Malaysia (ADFIM) in partnership with auctusESG and The Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) are undertaking a webinar on “Financing Climate Resilience: Focus on DFIs in Emerging Markets’.
Given the growing severity of climate change and the impact it would have on emerging markets, there is an urgent need to drive effective action on climate resilience and climate change adaptation. Considering that Development Financial Institutions (DFI’s) plays an integral role in catalysing significant engagement and finance towards climate resilience.
The key objective of this webinar is to equip DFIs in the emerging markets with knowledge and skills to understand the challenges and opportunities associated with financing climate resilience. The focus would also be on ways to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through financing climate resilience. In addition to this, the intent is to engage and equip the central banks with policy options, tailored to the continent, to support its climate- related supervisory and credit guidance policies.
