Industri bunga atau florikultur dikenal pasti sebagai satu daripada industri penting, berdaya maju dan berpotensi sebagai sumber pertumbuhan baharu bagi menjana ekonomi negara. Komoditi bernilai tinggi ini memang setanding dengan komoditi pertanian yang lain seperti kelapa sawit, getah, padi, kelapa dan juga sayur-sayuran.
Secara puratanya, 150 ladang bunga yang berada di tanah tinggi itu mengeluarkan antara 80 hingga 100 tan bunga sehari, bernilai RM600,000 hingga RM1 juta.
Selain digunakan untuk festival keagamaan dan kebudayaan, bunga-bunga ini juga dieksport ke negara luar seperti Singapura dan Hong Kong. Tahukah anda yang Festival Songkran di Thailand turut menggunakan bunga-bunga dari Cameron Highlands.
